La Baule, a renowned seaside resort
La Baule is one of the most famous resorts on the Côte d’Amour. Between the Port of Pornichet to the east and that of Pouliguen to the west lies the bay of La Baule, the largest in Europe with its 9 km of fine sand. In 2012, La Baule beach officially became part of the very exclusive "Most Beautiful Bays in the World" club, along with Ha Long Bay in Vietnam and San Francisco in California.
Facing south, La Baule beach offers many activities for all audiences. Behind the seafront, the alleys planted with pines and the forest of Escoublac give La Baule a green aspect and a very special charm.
